Red Shakshuka
฿100Roasted tomato, smoked paprika, two soft eggs, a handful of herbs. Served with a wedge of fresh sourdough.
A small bakery and meeting place tucked into a brick-and-wood corner of Pai. Sourdough out of the oven every morning, three kinds of shakshuka, and a long table where the village stops in.

Barbari opened in 2023 with one wood-and-steel oven, a chalkboard, and the simple idea that a small town deserves great bread. We mill, mix and bake on site. Every loaf goes through a long, cold ferment so the crumb stays open and the crust crackles.
Mornings are loud with espresso. Afternoons settle into shakshuka, hummus and the bread basket, and by closing the shelves are usually empty. We are a meeting place as much as a bakery. Backpackers, expats, Thai families, the motorbike crowd, everyone shares the long table.
Come in barefoot. The dogs and cats are friendly. The bread is on the counter.

Single-origin beans from Northern Thailand, dialed in fresh each morning. Espresso classics, hand-brewed filter, Turkish coffee, and tea on the side.
Air-cooled, mostly open-air, low light in the back. Bring a book or stay for hours.
